GoTimerPro is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how our application handles your data. We do not sell or trade your personal information.

1. Data Collection

GoTimerPro is designed to be a "Privacy-First" application. We do not require you to create an account with us.

Videos: Any video recorded or imported within the app is stored locally on your device or in your personal Google Drive (if enabled).
Swimming Records: Your session data (timings, laps, and durations) are stored in the app’s local database on your device.

2. Use of Google Drive API

If you choose to enable the optional Cloud Sync feature, GoTimerPro will request access to your Google Drive via the ../auth/drive.file scope.

Specific Access: GoTimerPro only has permission to read and write files it has created itself. It cannot read any other files or folders in your Google Drive.
Data Portability: This access is used solely to store your sessions.json file and uploaded videos in a private "GoTimerPro" folder in your Drive, allowing you to sync your technical analysis across multiple devices (e.g., iPhone and iPad).
No External Storage: Your data is transmitted directly between your device and Google's servers. We do not maintain any intermediate servers that store your swim videos or records.

3. Camera and Photo Permissions

GoTimerPro requires access to your camera to record swim sessions and your photo gallery to save your technical analysis or import existing footage. These media files never leave your device unless you manually enable Cloud Sync.

4. Data Deletion

You have full control over your data. If you delete a session within the app, it is permanently removed from your device. If Cloud Sync is enabled, the app will also attempt to move the associated video to an "Orphan" folder in Google Drive for manual cleanup or permanent deletion based on your settings.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
